  • Containerizing existing python APIs and applications using Dockers; Creating micro-services of connected pods in Kubernetes.
  • Researching on analyzing economic activity from the text of Beige Books published by reserve banks by topics; scored each topic between -1 to 1 using custom made classifier.
  • Building automated ETL pipelines to acquire financial data for client and make available via REST APIs and data-lake. Everyday processing over 1,000,000 rows and more than 200 index files.

Data Scientist/Data Engineer

  • Built automated API for client Capital Group to consume over 100,000 records of 10K and 10Q SEC Filings for last 20 years from Thomson Reuters and parse them for researchers to use.
  • Developed client REST API to get real time index data from Bloomberg and J. P. Morgan.
  • Enhanced existing automated API(ASP.NET) to get financial data which helped Capital Group save $40,000 yearly.
  • Modeled real-time dashboard application (Dash, Plotly) to visualize data for emerging markets credit history in 86 countries.
  • Preprocessed and cleaned data for ML usecase. Built data science projects: performed sentiment analysis on earnings call transcripts using Natural Language Processing. (BERT, Ensemble)

  • Administrated saleforce.com to maintain data integrity among different accounts, contacts, custom objects and applications.
  • Preserved dependencies and normalized databases using python and APEX programming. Cleaned and redesigned databases creating 10 more tables and removed 10,000+ duplicate records.
  • Managed content on “Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service” website using Drupal 8.
  • Constructed regression model based on previous 5 years of admits data to help admissions department shortlist incoming students for ‘Fall 2018’. It allowed to shortlist prospective students and reduced time to process applications by a week.
  • Deployed lambda functions in AWS to create a chain of event-driven tasks to automate workflow. It helped to maintain webform submissions in raw JSON format on AWS S3 as well as send them to salesforce account for business use.

Single hub for multiple financial dashboards; Deployed multiple web applications and APIs in UNIX server and authenticated using okta OpenID Connect. Written and pipelined automated processes to feed data to ML models.

Used Google Dialogflow to identify various intents and query Aladdin API (provided by BlackRock) to get latest results; display results in tabular format or downloaded as csv file.

ML model to predict Cancer Mortality Rate

New York University

Predicted future mortality rate in the USA based on county wise geographical data using various predictive models. i.e. ‘linear regression’(LR), ‘support vector machine’(SVM) and ‘random forest regression’ using R with 60% accuracy.

Visual System for Color Blinds

Mumbai University

Led a team of nine people to develop image and video recoloring algorithms to facilitate color blinds. Developed 6 algorithms for 6 color-blind types with python, MATLAB; conducted tests with 50 color-blinds with 80% accuracy.
